Welfare of communities affected by HEC

Villagers living in HEC areas often face significant challenges, from the destruction of crops and homes to the emotional and financial strain of losing livelihoods. Our mission is to support these communities by fostering peaceful coexistence while addressing their immediate and long-term needs.

We believe that small yet meaningful contributions can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by HEC. Our efforts include assisting with essential repairs, such as restoring a village shrine that serves as a place of solace and unity. Recognizing the psychological toll of the conflict, we facilitate counseling services to help individuals and families cope with the stress and trauma they endure.

Beyond immediate relief, we work towards empowering villagers with new opportunities. Teaching alternative vocations provides them with sustainable livelihoods that are less dependent on land vulnerable to elephant activity. Health clinics play a crucial role in ensuring that those affected receive medical attention, particularly in remote areas where access to healthcare is limited.

Through these initiatives, we build trust and maintain a strong rapport with local communities. This connection is essential in encouraging them to adopt non-violent solutions and coexist peacefully with elephants. By understanding their concerns, offering practical support, and promoting long-term solutions, we aim to create a future where both humans and elephants can thrive in peace.

Every contribution, no matter how small, strengthens the foundation of coexistence.
